Privacy Policy

We aim to collect as little information as practical and explain what each active feature does. This policy covers the public-beta site.

1. Guest access and local storage

No registration is required to read, search, copy, or share lessons. The site may store guest mode, a randomly generated anonymous guest identifier, and the day’s AI-tutor usage count in your browser. These items mainly remain on the current device and may disappear when you clear site data. Cross-device accounts, bookmarks, and learning history are not connected yet.

2. AI tutor

When you choose to use the AI tutor, the current lesson, your question, and necessary recent conversation are sent through the site’s server to an AI service provider so it can generate a response. The server requests that model-response storage be disabled, although the provider may still process operational and safety data under its own rules. The University does not treat tutor chats as co-creation submissions by default.

To enforce a daily limit, the system creates a one-way summary from an anonymous guest identifier and network address, then stores the date and count. Do not enter real names, addresses, phone numbers, identity documents, school or class details, medical records, or other sensitive identifying information.

3. Co-creation submissions

When you submit the co-creation form, the system stores the question, experience, opinion, lesson number, participation choices, and consent you provide. A name or contact detail is stored only if you choose to provide it. Language, country or region code, and browser type may also be recorded for review, safety, and site improvement. Submissions are not published automatically. Only content submitted with clear permission may be anonymised, edited, and considered for a lesson or co-creation display.

4. Minors

Young people may read age-appropriate educational material, but should not submit real names, school details, home addresses, photographs, contact details, or private stories that identify another person. If danger, abuse, or unlawful conduct is involved, tell a trusted adult and contact qualified local help.

5. Security, retention, and deletion

We use reasonable safeguards, but no online service can promise absolute security. Data is kept only as needed for operation, review, safety, and the permissions attached to a co-creation submission. To ask about or delete material you submitted, use the co-creation form with “Deletion request” as the title and enough information to identify the submission. Do not add new sensitive details to the request.

6. External links and policy changes

Lessons may link to research, social platforms, and help organisations. Their privacy rules apply after you leave this site. If a feature or data practice changes materially, we will update the date on this page and provide a visible notice.
